Thomas Zimmerman, aged 58, from Borden, Indiana, tragically passed away on November 19, 2017, during a deer hunting incident near Elizabeth, Indiana. According to reports, Zimmerman was hunting on private property in southern Harrison County when the incident occurred. Around 6:40 p.m., a member of his hunting group found him unresponsive in an elevated, ladder-type tree stand. Investigators determined that Zimmerman died from a close-range gunshot wound to the head.
