On November 19, 2017, Thomas Zimmerman, a 58-year-old White male resident of Borden, Indiana, embarked on a deer hunting excursion that ended in tragedy. He had traveled to a private property situated near Elizabeth in Harrison County, taking advantage of the hunting season to pursue game from an elevated vantage point.
