On a cold February evening in 2018, the life of 38-year-old Jerome Wilderness Jr. was tragically cut short in Crown Point, Indiana. A graduate of Lew Wallace High School, Purdue University, and Indiana Wesleyan, he was an employee at U.S. Steel Gary Works. He was married and a father to two daughters and a stepson.
