On a Tuesday evening in Fort Wayne, Indiana, tragedy struck, forever altering the lives of a young family. It was August 20, 2019, when 23-year-old Lashonda Denise Eldridge was driving her car in the 2500 block of South Anthony Boulevard. In the vehicle with her were two small children, aged two and five. Suddenly, the evening was shattered by the sound of gunfire as multiple shots were fired into her car at approximately 9:42 p.m.
