In the late hours of a cold December evening in Indianapolis, a grim discovery was made on the city's northeast side. On December 21, 2016, the body of 46-year-old Marcus Ford, an African-American male, was found engulfed in flames in front of a vacant house. The passerby who first noticed the fire and alerted authorities was met with a horrific scene that would soon launch a homicide investigation.
