In the quiet town of Greentown, Indiana, a grim discovery was made on the evening of January 13, 2020. In the parking lot of a Casey's General Store, 39-year-old Kimberly Butler-Wilson was found deceased inside a vehicle. A welfare check initiated at approximately 6:30 p.m. led police to the tragic scene where both Butler-Wilson and a male acquaintance, 42-year-old Timothy Glassburn of Converse, were discovered with fatal gunshot wounds.
The subsequent investigation by the Howard County
Sheriff's Office revealed a chilling sequence of events. It was determined that Butler-Wilson and Glassburn, who were known to each other, had arranged to meet in the parking lot shortly before 5:30 p.m. for reasons that remain unknown to the public. Authorities concluded that Glassburn fatally shot Butler-Wilson before turning the weapon on himself in a murder-suicide.
