In a quiet corner of Birdseye, Indiana, the life of 56-year-old Michael Harris, a male, came to a tragic and violent end. On the night of August 28, 2020, emergency services were called to a residence on North Dillard Road following a report of a shooting. There they found Michael Harris with serious injuries. Despite the efforts of medical personnel who treated him at the scene, he was later pronounced dead at Jasper Memorial Hospital.

The immediate investigation by the Indiana State Police pointed to a suspect who was close to the victim. It was determined that Michael Harris had been shot by his 57-year-old wife, Lisa Harris.
