On January 16, 2021, authorities in Steuben County, Indiana, were alerted to a situation at the Marsh Lake Wetland State Fish and Wildlife Area in Fremont. Upon arrival at the scene, first responders discovered the body of a 46-year-old White / Caucasian male, later identified as Roswald Pall Adkins. He was pronounced deceased at the location. Adkins was reportedly the driver of a vehicle found situated nearby within the wildlife area, which lies near the borders of Michigan and Ohio.
