On a late summer evening in Fremont, Indiana, the life of 18-year-old Caden David Hulliberger was tragically cut short. On August 31, 2021, emergency services responded to a 911 call from a residence on Baum Street, where they found Hulliberger deceased from a gunshot wound. The initial investigation, led by the Indiana State Police, pointed to what was at first considered a possible accidental shooting involving a shotgun.
