In a quiet mobile home community in Peru, Indiana, a horrific scene unfolded in May of 2021, forever altering the lives of a young family. Four-year-old Rae’Lynn Sizemore, a young female, was found shot to death alongside her 26-year-old mother, Jessica Sizemore, and her mother's 37-year-old fiancé, Jessiah Hall. The discovery was made on May 21, 2021, when officers from the Miami County Sheriff's Office conducted a welfare check at their residence.
Investigators believe the three victims were tragically killed five days earlier, on May 16th. Miraculously, a two-year-old boy, the son of Jessica Sizemore and Jessiah Hall, was found alive and physically unharmed inside the home, having been there with the bodies of his deceased family members for several days.
The investigation into the triple homicide quickly led authorities to a suspect: 25-year-old Mitchell Page of Brookston. Page was the father of another of Jessica Sizemore's children, a six-year-old girl who was not present at the time of the killings. He was taken into custody at a relative's home in Lafayette just two days after the bodies were discovered. According to the family, Page had been the last person they would have suspected of such a violent act and had even visited their home with the daughter he shared with Jessica the day after the bodies were found. He was subsequently charged with three counts of murder.
Following a six-day trial in January 2024, a Miami County jury found Mitchell Page guilty on all three counts of murder. The legal proceedings brought some measure of closure to the grieving family, who were devastated by the loss of their loved ones. In February 2024, Mitchell Page was sentenced to a total of 195 years in prison, receiving the maximum sentence of 65 years for each of the three murders, to be served consecutively. Page did not provide a statement during his sentencing but indicated plans to appeal the length of his sentence.
