On a summer evening in Indianapolis, Indiana, the life of 22-year-old Timothy Alek Hood was tragically cut short. The White / Caucasian male was fatally shot in a garage on the south side of the city, in the 8300 block of Punto Alto Drive, on June 5, 2021. The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m., and when police arrived, they found Timothy with a gunshot wound to the back of his head.
Known to his loved ones as Alek, he was remembered as a friendly and funny individual who had a passion
for making music and cars. After graduating from Franklin Central High School in 2017, he began working with his father to learn the electrical trade. In his free time, he was often at a music studio, where he wrote and recorded his own rap songs under the name AK 2Gudda, with aspirations of becoming a successful artist.
Despite the passage of time, the case of Timothy Alek Hood's murder remains unsolved. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has not publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests in connection with the shooting. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have appealed to the public for any information that could lead to a breakthrough in the case.
The lack of answers has left his family with a profound and lingering grief. His brother, Zackary Hood, has spoken publicly about the family's daily pain and their unwavering determination to find out who was responsible for Timothy's death. They continue to hold onto hope that justice will one day be served for the young man whose life was so violently and senselessly taken.
