Elizabeth "Lizzie" Bennett Lewis, aged 32, tragically lost her life on April 1, 2022, in Sellersburg, Indiana. Lizzie was the daughter of Tony Bennett, a former Indiana state Superintendent of Public Instruction and former Florida Commissioner of Education. The incident occurred in her home on Forest Hill Circle, where she was shot multiple times by her husband, Mac Lewis.
