In the quiet town of Carmel, Indiana, a grim discovery was made on a Saturday morning in November. On November 12, 2022, officers from the Carmel Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of Johnson Drive to conduct a welfare check. Upon entering the home, they found a tragic scene. Susan Shaw, a 63-year-old female, was found deceased. Alongside her was 79-year-old John Shaw, who was suffering from what authorities believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
