Walter Junior "Noonie" Custer Jr., aged 26, tragically lost his life on February 20, 1989, in Shenandoah County, Virginia. His death was the result of a fatal shooting, a crime that shocked the local community. Custer was one of two victims in a violent incident that also claimed the life of 68-year-old Ripley Elwood Marston Sr., a neighbor of the perpetrator.
