Death by Force

Saba Tekle, a 33-year-old Ethiopian immigrant and mother of three, was tragically murdered on October 13, 1989, outside her apartment in Annandale, Virginia. The perpetrator, Dwight A. Wright, was only 17 years old at the time of the crime. Wright forced Tekle to partially undress at gunpoint and attempted to rape her. When Tekle tried to escape, Wright shot her in the back with a pistol, resulting in her death.
