In the summer of 2013, a domestic dispute in Fluvanna County, Virginia, ended in a tragic loss of life. On a Wednesday morning in August, authorities responded to a call reporting two individuals with gunshot wounds in a yard on Gravel Hill Road. Upon arrival, investigators discovered the body of 41-year-old Jerry Palmer in the yard. On the porch of the home, they found 28-year-old Crystal Ann Trent, a female resident of Fork Union, suffering from two close-range gunshot wounds.
