In the early spring of 2015, a violent act on a South Richmond street cut short the life of 28-year-old David L. Briggs. On the evening of March 29th, police responded to the intersection of Deerwood and Bradford roads to find Briggs suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was discovered lying near a vacant house, the victim of a brutal shooting. Emergency services rushed him to VCU/MCV Medical Center, where medical personnel fought to save his life.
