Adam Laing Ward, a 27-year-old photojournalist, tragically lost his life on August 26, 2015, in Moneta, Virginia. Adam was conducting a live television interview with news reporter Alison Parker near Smith Mountain Lake when they were both fatally shot by a gunman. The incident occurred during a broadcast for CBS affiliate WDBJ, where both Ward and Parker were employed.
