James "Jimmy" T. Bishop, a 54-year-old resident of Richmond, Virginia, was tragically killed on the evening of September 19, 2016. Bishop was well-known in his neighborhood for riding his lawnmower along Jefferson Davis Highway, where he often helped with various tasks, including cutting grass. On that fateful night, Bishop was shot in the chest while on his lawnmower outside the Grab-n-Go Convenience Store located in the 3800 block of Jefferson Davis Highway.
