Aleigha Michelle Hawkingberry, an 18-year-old from Virginia Beach, VA, tragically lost her life on October 4, 2016. On that fateful evening, police were called to the 1100 block of Mondrian Loop shortly before 10 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Aleigha suffering from a gunshot wound in the street outside her home. Despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The medical examiner later confirmed that she died from a gunshot wound to the neck and chest.
