On the evening of January 1st, a sad discovery was made within the quiet halls of the Prince George County Courthouse. Authorities and emergency personnel responded to a call concerning an unresponsive male, later identified as the Honorable Nathan C. Lee, a 60-year-old male Sixth District Circuit Court Judge. He was found deceased in his office.
A resident of Hopewell, Judge Lee had a long and respected career in the legal field, practicing law for over 30 years before being appointed as a judge in 2012. The Prince George County Police Department, in coordination with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, has begun an investigation into his death.
In the early stages of the investigation, officials have indicated that they do not suspect any foul play was involved in Judge Lee's passing. As a result, there have been no arrests made, nor have any suspects been identified in connection with this unfortunate event. The community remembers him as a compassionate and respected member of the judiciary.
