On July 20, 2023, at approximately 2:35 a.m., Prince George County Police responded to a report of a person shot in the 6400 block of Blair Court, at its intersection with Nicolas Place, in Prince George, Virginia. Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of 18-year-old Rashad James of Dinwiddie County lying in the road. James had suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
