Elwood Alan Humphries, a 42-year-old tow truck driver from Petersburg, VA, tragically lost his life on January 11, 2018, while attempting to repossess a vehicle. Humphries, who worked for River City Recovery, was found dead in the driver's seat of his tow truck. He was shot while performing his job, an act that shocked his colleagues and the community.
