Miguel Gomez, aged 15, was tragically shot and killed on November 8, 2007, in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood. The young teenager was a student at Social Justice High School, and his death occurred amidst ongoing gang violence in the area. School authorities had advised Miguel's family to relocate temporarily to avoid the danger, but the violence escalated before any such move could be made.
