On the morning of April 25, 2017, Darlis Nkolomoni, an 18-year-old African American male, was fatally shot in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 7 a.m. in the 1400 block of West Jonquil Terrace, just a short distance from the apartment he shared with his mother, sister, and grandmother.
