Lonnie W. Carter, aged 43, was tragically killed in a shooting incident on May 2, 2019, in Richmond, Virginia. The incident occurred in the 00 block of W. 27th Street, near Carter Jones Park, on the city's southside. At approximately 1:19 p.m., officers responded to a report of a person shot and found Carter suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
