In a tragic turn of events on May 7, 2019, 23-year-old Tavario E. Gates of Richmond, Virginia, a Black male, was found deceased in his car from a gunshot wound at 1120 Courthouse Road in Chesterfield County. The investigation into his death revealed a complex and ultimately fatal scenario that unfolded as a result of a planned act of violence. Gates, along with three other individuals, had allegedly conspired to shoot a person in a vehicle that was parked on Ronaldton Road.
