In the late hours of a spring evening in Richmond, Virginia, the life of 37-year-old Jerson Stamean White, a Black/African American male, was brought to a sudden and violent end. On Sunday, May 26, 2019, in an alley located in the 2000 block of Parkwood Avenue, near Meadow Street, White was shot. He was discovered in the alley and rushed to a local hospital, but the injuries he sustained proved to be fatal, and he succumbed to them shortly after arrival.
