On a tragic Friday night, June 5, 2020, the life of Robert Wayne Williams, a 38-year-old white male, was cut short in Bassett, Virginia. The Henry County Sheriff's Office received a call about a shooting at an apartment complex on Grace Drive at approximately 10:40 p.m. Upon their arrival, deputies discovered Williams just inside the doorway of an apartment, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
