In the Highland Park neighborhood of Richmond, Virginia, on the late morning of December 2, 2021, 31-year-old Naquan Fuller, a Black male, was fatally shot. The incident occurred in the 2100 block of Third Avenue, where Richmond police officers responded to a report of gunfire just after 11 a.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Fuller on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into his death, which was quickly classified as a homicide, remains ongoing. Detectives have determined that individuals in a dark-colored Lexus SUV were involved in the shooting. According to the police, a passenger exited the vehicle and shot Mr. Fuller. As of late 2023, no arrests have been made in connection with the murder, and no suspects have been publicly identified.
In an effort to generate leads, friends of Naquan Fuller have offered a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for his death. The Richmond Police Department continues to seek information from the public to help solve this case. Naquan Fuller was a father of five children.
