Tyree Jermaine Bailey, a 45-year-old resident of Virginia Beach, was tragically shot and killed on December 26, 2021, while visiting family in Halifax County, Virginia. The incident occurred at a residence on Union Church Road in Halifax. Initially, the Halifax County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a break-in and shooting around 7:30 p.m. However, upon investigation, it was determined that the situation was not a break-in, and the victim and the shooter knew each other.
