In the quiet community of Glen Allen, Virginia, the life of 23-year-old Edwin Lee Burgess, Jr., a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short on the evening of September 7, 2022. Just before 10:45 p.m., the Henrico County Police Department received reports of a shooting at the Hope Village apartment complex on Hope Road.
