In the quiet community of Glen Allen, Virginia, the life of 23-year-old Edwin Lee Burgess, Jr., a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short on the evening of September 7, 2022. Following his arrest, Johnson was charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Edwin Lee Burgess, Jr. He also faced charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
