In the winter of 2014, Nelson Viera, a 32-year-old male, was fatally shot in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, January 17th, near the intersection of Texas and Arctic Avenues. Atlantic City police were alerted to the sound of gunfire by the city's ShotSpotter system. Upon arrival, they discovered Viera suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, where he was pronounced dead a short time ...
