In the early morning hours of October 19, 2014, the life of 23-year-old Jiahad Chapman was tragically cut short. Chapman, a Black male from Elizabeth, New Jersey, was found wounded in the area of Bond and East Sixth streets. He was quickly transported to Trinitas Regional Medical Center, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
