In the Wilbur neighborhood of Trenton, New Jersey, a sense of inspiration that had been fostered by community art projects was tragically disrupted on the evening of January 20, 2016. On that Wednesday, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the sound of multiple gunshots echoed through the 100 block of Walnut Avenue. When police arrived, they found 21-year-old Tyquise Timmons, a Black male, lying on the porch of a residence. He had sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene, just a few ...
