Death by Force

In the early hours of a Tuesday in April 2016, the life of Gerard W. Jones, a 49-year-old male from Hackettstown, was tragically cut short on a street in Newark, New Jersey. At approximately 12:30 a.m. on April 26th, Jones was in the vicinity of Poinier Street when he was fatally shot. The incident was believed to have stemmed from a prior dispute. The Essex County Prosecutor's Office and the Newark Public Safety Director's office immediately launched an investigation into the homicide.
