In the winter of 2017, the community of Newark, New Jersey, was shaken by the tragic death of Richard Culver, a 23-year-old Black male. On December 2nd, Culver was discovered in Vailsburg Park, having sustained fatal gunshot wounds. The discovery prompted an immediate and thorough investigation by local law enforcement.
