In the summer of 2019, a young woman’s life was tragically cut short in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Eighteen-year-old Katusca Robles, affectionately known as Cecy, was found inside her apartment on North Pennsylvania Avenue on the night of July 3rd with gunshot wounds. Police had been called to the residence at approximately 10:13 p.m.
Emergency services transported Robles to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus, but she was pronounced dead at the hospital.
At the time of her death, Robles was the mother of a one-month-old son. Her death marked the second fatal shooting in Atlantic City within a three-day span, contributing to a string of violence that had the community searching for answers.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit opened an investigation into the shooting, classifying it as a homicide. Authorities requested that anyone with information regarding the killing contact their office or the Atlantic City Police Department. As of the available online reports, there has been no public announcement regarding any arrests made or suspects identified in connection with the death of Katusca Robles.
