In the late afternoon of March 1, 2021, tragedy struck in Atlantic City, New Jersey, forever altering the lives of those who knew Tashawn Manuel. The 29-year-old man, a resident of the city, was on the first block of South Florida Avenue when the sound of gunfire shattered the day's calm at approximately 4:04 p.m. When police arrived at the scene following 911 calls, they discovered that Manuel had been shot.
