On a Thursday evening in Newark, New Jersey, the life of 25-year-old James Westbrook-Daye was tragically cut short. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Westbrook-Daye on a porch, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
He was a Black / African American male. Emergency services rushed him to University Hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead at 7:02 p.m.
