William Gulak, a 50-year-old conductor from Lincoln Park, Michigan, was tragically killed on December 30, 1978, in Jackson, Michigan. His death was part of a series of murders committed by Rudy Bladel, known as "The Railway Sniper." Bladel, a disgruntled former railway employee, carried out a series of shootings targeting railroad workers in Michigan and Indiana between 1963 and 1978.
