Police Officer Sherdard Raymund Brison, a 12-year veteran of the Detroit Police Department, tragically lost his life following a violent encounter on February 28, 1990. Officer Brison, aged 40, was attempting to arrest an armed robbery suspect on Livernois Avenue near M-10 at approximately 1:45 p.m. The suspect had just committed a robbery at Nina's Boutique, a nearby dress shop, and injured a customer during the crime.
