Lieutenant Joseph Tyrone Candie, aged 39, tragically lost his life on December 19, 2007, in Lansing, Michigan. Lieutenant Candie was a dedicated officer with the Michigan Department of Corrections, having served for 14 years. His death was the result of a violent confrontation with a disgruntled officer from the Robert Scott Correctional Facility in Northville.
