In the cold of a Detroit winter, on February 10, 2014, the life of 24-year-old Michael Hoots was tragically cut short in a brutal act of violence that also claimed the lives of two other men. Hoots, a White/Caucasian male from Livonia, was found in a burning house on the city's west side, a scene that firefighters would soon discover was meant to conceal a horrific crime.
