Darryl Smith, a 19-year-old from Detroit, Michigan, tragically lost his life on April 11, 2014. The incident occurred in the parking lot of East English Village Preparatory Academy, where Smith was attending an event with a relative. Around 9:30 p.m., a carload of individuals fired into a crowd of about 100 students and family members, resulting in Smith's fatal injuries.
