In the late spring of 2014, the life of Gregory Dequan Hodo, a 36-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short in his hometown of Flint, Michigan. On May 30, 2014, Hodo was shot in a store parking lot and subsequently succumbed to his injuries at Hurley Medical Center.
