In the late spring of 2014, the life of Gregory Dequan Hodo, a 36-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short in his hometown of Flint, Michigan. On May 30, 2014, Hodo was shot in a store parking lot and subsequently succumbed to his injuries at Hurley Medical Center. Born in Flint on May 11, 1978, Gregory was known for his love of music and spending time with his family, often bringing laughter and joy to those around him.
