Dmetrius Washington, a 14-year-old boy from Muskegon Heights, Michigan, tragically lost his life on July 9, 2014. He was found shot and lying on the ground near the intersection of Hoyt Street and Hovey Avenue around 2:30 a.m. that day. The circumstances surrounding his death were particularly heartbreaking, as he had snuck out in the middle of the night to visit his girlfriend at East Park Manor.
