James Napier, a 35-year-old Detroit police detective, was found dead on January 22, 2015, in Sterling Heights, Michigan. His death was ruled a suicide by the authorities. Napier was discovered in a vehicle with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The incident occurred outside his parents' home on Maple Lane, and it was a family member who alerted the police to the tragic event.
