In the late hours of a summer night in Muskegon Heights, Michigan, tragedy struck a local family. Thedrick Bryant, a 20-year-old male, was fatally wounded in a shooting that erupted at the East Park Manor public housing complex on August 30, 2015. The incident, which involved multiple handguns, occurred around 2:30 a.m. and resulted in four people being shot. Bryant was rushed to a nearby hospital with critical injuries but succumbed to them the following afternoon.
The investigation into the chaotic scene led to several arrests. In the immediate aftermath, Darnell Leroy Byrd III was taken into custody and charged with receiving and concealing stolen ammunition, a charge stemming from loose bullets found in his possession after the shooting. As the investigation deepened, authorities apprehended two more suspects, Josiah Fousse and Kierelle Burns, at a hotel in Grand Rapids. Fousse faced serious charges, including assault with intent to murder. The motive for the shooting has not been publicly disclosed by authorities.
