In the early evening of a late summer day, what began as a minor traffic incident on a Detroit roadway tragically escalated into a fatal act of violence, claiming the life of 26-year-old Demario Tompkins. On September 6, 2015, Tompkins was a passenger in a black Dodge Magnum traveling on the I-96 service drive near Greenfield Road.
