On the evening of April 8, 2016, a burst of violence shattered the peace at the Park West Apartments in Flint, Michigan, leaving a young man's life cut tragically short. Atiba Wells, a 20-year-old male, was found lying outside one of the apartment buildings on the 3900 block of Hammerberg Road just after 7:30 p.m. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency services rushed him to Hurley Medical Center, but his injuries proved to be too severe, and he succumbed to them.
